Microtoppings(also called skim coats) derive their name from the term “micro” meaning very small, or in this case, very thin. But their slim physique (ranging from paper thin to roughly 1/8 inch) in no way diminishes their versatility.
Microtoppings can be used in a multitude of applications, both indoors and out. Microtoppings are used to cover and repair damaged floors such as cracks and unlevel surfaces. They offer an unlimited range of colors and textures to give old concrete a new and artistic look.
Microtopping- An ultra thin polymer-based decorative topping, generally less than 1/4inch total thickness. Typically applied by trowel or squeegee, and given a textured or smooth finish. Pigments can be incorporated into the mix or broadcast onto the surface for a marbleized appearance.
